Steve Peck - Founder, DSR and Show Host
Steve Peck is a pioneer in the field of “New Media”. After leaving a career in radio as music director and on-air talent for radio stations in the Detroit, Michigan market, Peck formed one of the first Point-of-Purchase marketing companies in the country, In-House Communications, in 1984. Point-of-Purchase was the “old school” phrase for New Media, in that point-of purchase marketing sought a non-traditional, countable audience, as New Media is doing today. Peck’s Premier Podcasting company helps businesses connect with their clientele through Social Media and podcasts.
Peck was an innovator of three of the most successful, non-traditional advertiser-based concepts in the last quarter century, In-Store Broadcast Advertising, Message On-Hold Telephone Marketing and Waiting Room Television for physicians’ waiting rooms. Steve was featured in Entrepreneur Magazine in March of 1987 for his development of the Message On-Hold concept and has been written about in Advertising Age Magazine and a host of other publications around the world.
Peck also founded The Miracle League of Michigan in 2004 to provide children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to play baseball on a million dollar synthetic “field of dreams” in Southfield, Michigan. (www.MichiganMiracle.org)
In 2009, Peck founded the Premier Podcasting Network which produces programs for Divorce Source Radio and Anti-Aging Radio. Premier Podcasting also works with businesses to create and broadcast programming to a world-wide audience. Steve has since re-married to Andrea Peck. (Read more here.)
Note from Steve: The video below was taken a few weeks prior to my final mediation. Nine days after the stress of my divorce, ALL of my hair fell out, a condition known as alopecia areata universalis. Will my hair grow back? Doctors say maybe yes maybe no. The point is, I am a living example of what the stress of divorce can do to a person and why I close my shows with “Stay Healthy”.
